Winter can be long which ends up affecting our mood, wellness and our skin.
Here are some tips to bring that beautiful healthy glow back and put a spring in your step!
We all know to do this- but dehydration can really affect our mood and make us feel tired/sluggish. Instead of reaching for that cup of coffee, try a big glass of water. 60% of our bodies are made up of water. Drinking that big glass of water can make you feel more alert and refreshed. We need water to help detoxify the body/ kidneys, transport nutrients, calorie control (water helps us feel full), clear the skin; help with achy joints, aid in digestion(keep things moving), help fight sickness/ illness and much more!
Start by drinking a glass of water when you wake up in the morning and before each meal. Invest in a cute/ fun water bottle to carry around with you throughout the day!
Tired of plain water? Here are some fun and delicious ways to spruce up plain ol' H2O!
- cucumber and lemon slices (helps purify the body, cleansing)
- sliced oranges and strawberries (vitamin C boost!cold fighter, energy boost!)
- grapefruit and mint (metabolism boost- you can also add a pinch of cayenne if your feeling spicy)
- turmeric and lemon (helps reduce inflammation of the body- great if you warm it up a little too!)
